It was great getting together with my old friend Darryl Warren. We are both huge jazz fans. Darryl brought me a selection of Frank Sinatra CDs from Frank's Capital record days. What could be better?

Aratee and Chris's Wedding

Last weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Aratee Martin and Chris Turner's wedding in beautiful Oak Park, Illinois. They had a very lively reception at the historic Carleton Hotel in Oak Park.

Being a Northbrook Wedding Photographer for many years I have long admired our beautiful Village Presbyterian Church. I had a great time photographing my daughter Erin's good friend Patty Berggreen's wedding, here are a few pictures from the event.

Art Show in Northbrook

I attended and photographed this art show in Northbrook last weekend, July 9th, where artists from the North Shore community displayed their artwork such as paintings, drawings, photography, altered books, and many more. The show was organized by Janie Baskin. She had a table set-up for children to make cards and other art pieces. Adding to the different kinds of visual art. there was also a live performance by a comic. The atmosphere was fun - there were loads of food and lots of people mingling and enjoying the nice weather.

“I enjoy the interaction of a photo shoot – continually trying to draw out the human

side of people and helping them to be more relaxed, while I take pictures of them,” Baskin

says. “This is equally important if I’m taking a corporate portrait, pictures of attorneys in a

meeting room or a headshot of an actor or a model. I’m essentially telling their stories

through the photos I take.”
